Registration for Itikaf
The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia has officially declared the commencement of registration for itikaf at the revered Grand Mosque in Makkah, as reported by Gulf News.
Commencing from the seventh day of Ramazan, which falls on Sunday, March 17, the Saudi authorities will open the registration process for itikaf.
This opportunity will persist until all designated spaces for itikaf at the Grand Mosque are occupied.
Muslims wishing to participate in itikaf can register through the website of the state agency, subject to meeting specific criteria.
These criteria encompass adhering to the pledges and regulations outlined by the Grand Mosque authorities, commencing itikaf at the stipulated time on the 20th day of Ramazan, and being at least 18 years old.
Itikaf, a practice of seclusion and spiritual retreat, holds profound significance in Islam, particularly during the final 10 days of Ramazan. In Pakistan, Ramazan commenced on March 12 this year.
