ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held telephonic conversations with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman on Saturday, discussing security and regional stability.
During his call with the Qatar Emir, Prime Minister Shehbaz extended warm greetings and best wishes for Eidul Adha. The leaders exchanged views on the significance of Eidul Adha, emphasizing its symbolism of sacrifice, compassion, and unity.
Amid the festive occasion, they also addressed the plight of the people of Palestine, calling on the international community to intensify efforts for peace and end the violence and bloodshed in the region.
Both leaders reaffirmed the strong bond of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Qatar, rooted in shared values and mutual respect. They explored ways to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields. The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Qatar’s support in trade, investment, and labor sectors.
They agreed to continue working together to promote peace, stability, and prosperity regionally and globally. The Prime Minister also thanked the Emir for accepting an invitation to visit Pakistan, with details to be arranged soon.
In his conversation with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, Prime Minister Shehbaz extended similar warm greetings and best wishes for Eidul Adha. Sultan Haitham reciprocated the sentiments, expressing appreciation for the prime minister’s gesture. Both leaders prayed for peace and unity within the Muslim Ummah.
They reaffirmed the strong bond of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Oman, discussing ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation. The regional situation, particularly developments in Palestine, was also discussed, with both leaders agreeing to work together for regional peace and stability.
Prime Minister Shehbaz reiterated his invitation to Sultan Haitham for an official visit to Pakistan, expressing hope for a visit at the Sultan’s earliest convenience.
