ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines have launched direct flights after the opening of Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad.

The opening of Ethiopian Embassy will, indeed, revive diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Ambassador of Ethiopia in Islamabad Jamal Bakir Abdullah stated this in a meeting with Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Islamabad.

During the meeting, FM Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari welcomed the opening of Ethiopian embassy in Pakistan, hoping that it will revive Pak-Ethiopian diplomatic ties.

Bilawal Bhutto was talking to the first resident Ambassador of Ethiopia in Pakistan Jamal Bakir Abdullah, who met him in Islamabad.

The Foreign Minister also welcomed the launch of joint direct flights by Pakistan Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines between the two countries.

The Ethiopian envoy thanked the Government of Pakistan, particularly the foreign minister, for extending support in the opening of the Ethiopian embassy.
