Pakistani delivery rider returns 15,000 AED to customer following payment mistake

In a heartwarming display of integrity, Muhammad Mohsin Nazir, a Pakistani delivery rider in Dubai, returned 15,000 AED to a customer who had accidentally overpaid for a delivery.

The customer, Polish expat Kajetan Hubner, mistakenly paid 17,050 AED instead of the intended 1,750 AED due to confusion with the currency notes.

After realizing his mistake, Kajetan initially panicked, searching his hotel room for two hours, fearing he had lost the money. The next day, however, he received a message from Muhammad, who informed him about the overpayment and arranged to return the excess amount.

Muhammad was taken aback himself when he counted the cash at the end of his shift.

Following his mother’s advice, he promptly reached out to Kajetan to confirm the error. He deposited the correct amount with his company and returned the excess to Kajetan the next day.

Impressed by Muhammad’s honesty, Kajetan offered him a 300 AED tip, which Muhammad initially declined, expressing that his true reward would come from Allah. The story quickly gained traction on social media, showcasing the remarkable honesty prevalent among residents of the UAE.

In recognition of his commendable actions, Muhammad also received a reward from Noon, the delivery service he works for. This incident not only highlights individual integrity but also reflects the values of community and trust within the diverse society of Dubai.

Muhammad’s actions serve as an inspiring reminder of the power of honesty in everyday life.
