ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, Pakistan urged Afghanistan to extradite the banned TTP leader Hafiz Gul Bahadur in connection with his group’s role in the recent suicide bombing in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to sources.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Afghan Charge d’affaires in Pakistan, expressing a strong protest against the involvement of Afghan nationals in terrorist activities in Pakistan. Pakistan called on the Afghan government to prevent its territory from being used for cross-border attacks.
Following a suicide bombing in Bannu that resulted in two fatalities and ten injuries, including soldiers, the Inter-Services Public Relations had reported the incident a day earlier.
According to ISPR, on November 26, 2023, a motorcycle-borne suicide bomber, affiliated with the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group and later identified as an Afghan national, detonated himself near a security forces convoy in the Bakka Khel area of Bannu.

Released as part of a temporary truce agreement between the Palestinian resistance group and Israel, the mother-daughter duo was reunited with their relatives on November 24.
Before leaving Gaza to return to her family in Israel, Aloni penned a letter to Hamas, acknowledging and appreciating the group for their exceptional kindness towards her daughter.
“I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your extraordinary humanity shown towards my daughter, Emilia,” wrote Aloni in the letter originally composed in Hebrew.
The letter was shared on Monday on the official Telegram account of Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, accompanied by an Arabic translation and a photo of the mother and daughter.
In her handwritten Hebrew letter, Danielle conveyed Emilia’s sense of camaraderie with the Hamas fighters, describing them as not just friends but truly beloved and good. Aloni also expressed gratitude for the excellent care given to hostages in Gaza, thanking them for the many hours spent as caregivers.
The mother revealed that, despite the challenging circumstances of captivity, her daughter felt like a queen, emphasizing that children should not be in such situations. She acknowledged the kindness and compassion shown by Hamas fighters and other individuals they encountered during their journey.
