ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has sent its second shipment of relief supplies to assist the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip who are under siege. The relief goods which were sent off in a special flight was seen off by Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and Human Rights Minister Khalil George.
The Palestinian Ambassador in Islamabad, Ahmad Jawad Rabei, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Disaster Management Authority also attended the sendoff ceremony at Islamabad International Airport.

Foreign Minister Jilani expressed Pakistan’s full support for the Palestinian people and condemned Israel’s use of force in Gaza, which he described as brutal, disproportionate, and indiscriminate, particularly against civilians, including women and children. He emphasized the urgent need to stop Israeli aggression, lift the siege on Gaza, and uphold principles of justice and humanity while facilitating the delivery of humanitarian assistance.
The relief goods in the second shipment include hygiene kits, medicines, and food packages, and it follows a previous consignment sent on October 19. The situation in Gaza has escalated due to recent events, with Israel intensifying its ground operations and bombardments in response to attacks by Hamas on October 7.
Israel’s actions have led to a significant number of casualties, including thousands of deaths, which has raised concerns globally. Several countries, including Honduras, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Jordan, and Bahrain, have taken diplomatic measures in response to the situation. The United States and the United Nations have also called for an immediate ceasefire to address the humanitarian crisis and allow aid to reach the affected area.
However, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has stated his intention to continue the assault on Gaza, and the conflict between Israel and Hamas continues to escalate, leading to a worsening humanitarian situation in Palestine.
