Official Figures Show Israel Has Killed 1.8% of The Population Of Gaza Since October 7

According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, a significant portion of the casualties in the besieged Gaza Strip are young people, with 24% of those killed being underage.

The report also reveals that approximately 70% of the injured in Gaza are women and children. The humanitarian crisis in the region is severe, with an estimated 10,000 individuals reported missing and around two million people displaced due to ongoing conflicts. Al Jazeera has reported these figures as part of a broader overview of the dire situation in Gaza.

In addition to the casualties in Gaza, the bureau reports that Israeli forces have killed 620 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank during the same period. Of those killed in the West Bank, 75% were under the age of 30. This statistic underscores the impact of the conflict on younger populations across both regions.

The bureau’s data further highlights a critical issue of malnutrition in Gaza. The report states that 34 individuals in Gaza have died from malnutrition, and approximately 3,500 children are currently at risk of death due to severe food shortages. The combination of violence and inadequate access to basic necessities has created a grave humanitarian crisis, affecting the most vulnerable populations in the region.

These figures paint a stark picture of the ongoing conflict’s impact on civilian populations, emphasizing the urgent need for humanitarian aid and intervention to address the dire conditions faced by people in Gaza and the West Bank.
