Jordan denounces Israel for violating international law following a deadly strike in Beit Lahia, Gaza

Jordan has strongly condemned an Israeli airstrike in Beit Lahia, Gaza, that resulted in the deaths of at least 87 people, according to reports from Anadolu.

The Israeli military targeted the northern Gaza city with airstrikes late Saturday, which led to the destruction of an entire residential block.

In an official statement, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry expressed its unequivocal rejection of Israel’s “ongoing violations of international humanitarian law and all human values and principles.”

The ministry emphasized the urgent need to protect civilians and humanitarian facilities amid the ongoing conflict.

Jordan called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to take decisive action to halt what it described as war crimes against Palestinians in Gaza. The statement reflects Jordan’s longstanding concern for the humanitarian situation in the region and its commitment to advocating for the rights and safety of civilians affected by the violence.

The airstrike in Beit Lahia is part of a broader context of escalating tensions and violence in Gaza, raising alarms about the humanitarian crisis facing the population.

With civilian casualties on the rise, Jordan is urging global leaders to take responsibility and intervene to prevent further loss of life.

As the situation continues to develop, Jordan’s call for action highlights the urgent need for diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and protecting vulnerable populations in conflict zones.

The kingdom remains a vocal advocate for peace and stability in the region, emphasizing the importance of upholding international law in the face of ongoing hostilities.
