Israeli Forces Cut Water and Power to Jenin Amid Ongoing Raids

Israeli forces have severed water and power supplies to Jenin in the occupied West Bank as their raids extend into a fifth day, according. The United Nations has condemned the extensive damage inflicted on the Jenin refugee camp, highlighting the severe impact on residents who are now without access to essential resources like food, water, electricity, and the internet.

The UN Human Rights Office has called for an immediate halt to Israeli military raids in the Jenin refugee camp.

In a statement, the office criticized Israel’s use of weapons and military tactics in the densely populated area, which is home to approximately 11,000 Palestinians. The ongoing operation in Jenin and nearby areas has reportedly resulted in unlawful killings, increased insecurity for Palestinian residents, and significant destruction within the camp.

On Saturday, clashes erupted between Israeli troops and Palestinian fighters as Israel continued its military operation in Jenin. The operation, one of the largest in recent months, has seen hundreds of Israeli troops conducting raids since Wednesday.
