Iran gives a last warning to Israel saying “Armed groups’ fingers are on the trigger”: Hezbollah joining Hamas in Gaza

All Fingers on Trigger

TEHRAN: Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Iranian foreign minister, gave a last warning to Israel saying “Armed Groups’ fingers are on Trigger.” It indicates that Hezbollah will join Hamas in case Israeli troops invade Gaza.

Abdollahian reaffirmed Iran’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli government’s brutal actions.

He conveyed this message during a meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York on Friday, which took place during an extraordinary session of the UN General Assembly addressing the Gaza conflict.

He emphasized that Iran has consistently backed the Palestinian people’s struggle for liberation and their resistance to achieve full recognition of their human rights, making it a fundamental principle of Iranian foreign policy.

Amir Abdollahian strongly condemned the continuous violence carried out by the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip, a conflict that has persisted for three weeks.

He also expressed his concern that the Israeli regime’s lethal attacks on Gaza and the West Bank have been enabled by the silence of some nations and the assistance of the United States.

Amir Abdollahian called on the international community to fulfill its responsibility by swiftly and decisively supporting the Palestinian people’s resistance against Israeli aggression, with a particular focus on the UN Security Council.

He emphasized that Iran supports any political solution that would lead to an immediate halt to the Israeli regime’s ongoing crimes against humanity and genocide in Gaza, as well as the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian territory and the prevention of forced displacement of Gazans.

Amir Abdollahian issued a warning, expressing concerns that as long as the Israeli regime continues to commit war crimes in Gaza, the conflict might escalate and new fronts may emerge throughout the region against the Zionist regime.

According to Amir Abdollahian, a just and sustainable peace in the region can only be achieved through the complete end of the occupation of Palestine, the return of Palestinian refugees to their homeland, a referendum involving all original inhabitants of Palestine, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with the holy city of al-Quds as its capital.

In response, Guterres acknowledged Iran’s unique role in the region and urged the Islamic Republic to persist in its diplomatic and constructive political efforts. He described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as “catastrophic” and urged all parties involved to immediately cease hostilities and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the coastal region.
