The explosion damaged local businesses, triggering a rapid response. A loud blast occurred early Sunday morning at a CRPF school in Rohini, Delhi, raising significant security concerns. Officials from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and National Security Guard (NSG) commandos are currently on the scene. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported, but the explosion caused damage to the school’s walls, nearby shops, and a vehicle.
Residents of Rohini were jolted awake by the blast, which produced vibrations felt several hundred meters away. Locals reported a “chemical-like” smell and observed thick white smoke at the site for about 15 to 20 minutes.
The explosion affected local businesses, prompting a swift response from fire brigades, police, bomb squads, and teams from the NIA and NSG to investigate the cause. Senior police officials, including members of the crime branch and Special Cell, visited the area following the incident, and a forensic team conducted examinations and collected samples.
Sources from the Forensic Science Laboratory told ANI that the materials used in the blast outside the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) school in Rohini appeared to resemble a crude bomb and emitted a foul odor. However, definitive conclusions will be reached only after a thorough forensic analysis.
Additionally, teams from the NIA and personnel from the NDRF have arrived at the explosion site.
