Rogue and terrorist
ISLAMABAD: In the wake of Canada’s startling disclosures concerning the assassination of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former foreign minister, characterized India as a “rogue and terrorist state” that has been “uncovered for violating the sovereignty of a NATO member nation.”
Addressing the media in Lahore on Tuesday, he implored the international community to acknowledge New Delhi’s role in “acts of terrorism.”

“This is a grave accusation, and India has been exposed on the global stage. How much longer will the international community and our Western allies turn a blind eye to India’s actions?” added the PPP leader.
Canada announced on Monday that it is pursuing credible allegations that connect Indian government agents to the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Vancouver. The Sikh leader was assassinated in June this year.
Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau acknowledged that Canada’s security agencies are investigating the “agents of the government of India” in the killing of the prominent Canadian Sikh leader.
“In recent weeks, Canadian security agencies have been diligently investigating credible allegations of a potential connection between agents of the government of India and the murder of Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar,” Trudeau stated.
He disclosed this in his address to the House of Commons on an “extremely serious matter” after briefing opposition party leaders.
Responding to Trudeau’s revelations, Bilawal Bhutto called upon the international community to recognize that “India has transformed into a rogue and terrorist state. He said India has not only perpetrated terrorism in Kashmir but has also had its operatives involved in acts of terrorism that we in Pakistan have apprehended.”
Canada and India expel each other’s diplomats
Meanwhile, Canada and India expelled each other’s diplomats after a row over the murder of a Sikh leader in Canada.
India expelled top diplomat of Canada with a five days notice on Tuesday. India took the action after Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau blamed Indian government for the gruesome murder of Sikh leader in Canada.
Canada’s accusation that India may have been involved in the assassination of a Sikh activist triggered a row with Ottawa and New Delhi.
The tit-for-tat diplomatic row emerged on Tuesday after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Canada was investigating “credible allegations” linking India to the June killing of Canadian citizen and prominent Sikh leader, Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Moreover, the pro-Khalistan organization based in Canada, Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), has called upon Canadian PM to expel India’s High Commissioner to Canada.
This request follows Prime Minister Trudeau’s confirmation that the Indian government was responsible for the assassination of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Vancouver.
Hardeep Singh Nijjar was a prominent pro-Khalistan Sikh leader. He was also a strong advocate for an independent Sikh homeland known as Khalistan.
He was tragically gunned down on June 18 outside a Sikh cultural center in Surrey, British Columbia.
