Israel-Hamas Conflict
In a significant statement during the ongoing Gaza War, Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, broke his silence on the conflict, asserting that the Lebanese group had no prior knowledge of the October 7 operation. He emphasized that the assault had been meticulously planned in complete secrecy, with even other Palestinian factions being kept unaware of it.
Nasrallah’s speech marked a rare moment of clarity regarding Hezbollah’s stance in the Israel-Hamas conflict. As Israel continued its assault on the Gaza Strip, he expressed his condolences and congratulations to the families affected by the conflict in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

He acknowledged those who lost their lives, including those impacted by Hamas’s Al-Aqsa Flood operations inside Israel.
He described the ongoing conflict as harmonious from human, moral, and theological standpoints, asserting that their unwavering devotion to the cause was their true strength. Nasrallah further criticized Israel’s actions in Gaza, stating that the assault demonstrated Israel’s foolishness and inability, resulting in the deaths of children and women.
Nasrallah firmly criticized the United States, holding it entirely responsible for the Gaza War, while referring to Israel as an executive tool in the ongoing conflict.
Importantly, he clarified that the October 7 operation was entirely Palestinian in origin, carried out by Palestinians for the Palestinian cause, and had no connection to international or regional matters.
This declaration aimed to dispel any misconceptions or associations with external actors and underscored the indigenous nature of the operation.
The Hezbollah leader did not reveal the group’s future plans in his speech but highlighted the Palestinian character of the operation, reinforcing that it was a manifestation of Palestinian determination and commitment to their cause. Nasrallah’s remarks served to distance Hezbollah from the October 7 operation and underline its isolated Palestinian nature.
