Ambulances Convoy
The health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza reported on Friday that Israel had targeted a convoy of ambulances leaving Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. Israel’s military stated that it was investigating the report. Reuters could not immediately verify the report.
The health ministry spokesman, Ashraf Al-Qudra, said in a statement, “We have informed the Red Cross in accordance with international law about moving a convoy carrying injured people in ambulance vehicles from Al-Shifa hospital.

Moreover, at the hospital’s gate and then at Ansar square, the occupation targeted the convoy in more than one location outside the Al-Shifa hospital.”
The statement did not specify any casualties. Earlier, Hamas-affiliated Al-Aqsa TV quoted the ministry as saying that there were scores of people killed and injured.
Former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar Arrested at His Residence
Meanwhile,
PTI leader and the former National Assembly speaker, Asad Qaiser, was arrested in Islamabad on Friday due to alleged “corrupt practices” in the procurement of the medical equipment for Gajju Khan Medical College in Swabi, his home constituency.
In addition, the arrest took place at his residence in Banigala, Islamabad, where a group of the police officers and individuals in plainclothes detained him.
Asad Qaiser’s arrest has raised concerns about his alleged involvement in corrupt practices related to the medical equipment procurement for a public medical institution.
