Someone dismembered her body and kept it in a fridge at a rural village house in Tai Po, which is close to the border with mainland China.

On Sunday,

Mr. Chung updated that they found a young woman’s skull, believed to belong to Ms. Choi, in one of the cooking pots they had taken as evidence.

The Officer said:

“There’s a hole on the right side rear on the skull, so the pathologist believes that that should be the fatal attack on the victim.”

The police found a meat slicer and an electric saw at the scene, along with several ribs, hair, and human tissue, according to their statement.

Mr. Chung also mentioned:

Forensic pathologists discovered a small number of human bones in another cooking pot.

The police are still searching for Ms. Choi’s hands and torso.

Mr. Chung believes that someone attacked Ms. Choi in a car and that she was unconscious when she arrived at the house.

The exact time of her death is still unclear.

The police superintendent stated that the authorities believe Ms. Choi had financial disputes involving tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars, with HK$1m being equivalent to about £107,000.

According to Mr. Chung:

Ms. Choi’s ex-husband, his family, and “some people” were unhappy with how she managed her financial assets.
