COVID KING: Turkish man contracts and survives Covid infection 78 times in two years

The case of Turkish national Muzzafer Kayasan indicates that the ongoing Covid pandemic is no more a fatal infection and its victims can survive if they get on time and proper treatment.

It seems to be unbelievable and a unique case of the ongoing Covid pandemic in the world as a Turkish man, Muzaffer Kayasan, has tested Covid-19 positive 78 times since 2020 _ in less than two years’ period.

Muzzafer Kayasan, who is also suffering from leukemia, has been in isolation for 14 consecutive months and has survived the infection every time. Doctors say he may hold the record in Türkiye for the longest period of infection.

Turkey is amongst the countries which are experiencing the highest rate of Covid because of government’s policy of staying away from lockdowns, Turkish media group TRT International reported this unique case firs time on Feb 15, 2022.

Also, Turkey is the only country in the world which kept its borders and airports open for tourists and travellers during the pandemic. Consequently, in 2021 Turkey has earned $24.5 billion record tourism revenue which is double than the similar income from tourism in 2020.

With a population of 85 million in 2020 (World Bank) estimate, so far, Turkey has reported 13 million Covid case with 90,000+ casualties till Feb 14.

Globally, 413 million people have contracted Covid infections while casualties stood at 5.83 million.
