Following their meeting in San Francisco in November, where Xi and US President Joe Biden pledged to enhance communication to prevent competitive dynamics from escalating into confrontation, both leaders exchanged messages marking the 45th year since the establishment of diplomatic relations between their nations. Xi emphasized the importance of practical measures in advancing the stable, robust, and enduring progression of China-US relations.
