The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) has strongly condemned the recent U.S.-led strikes on its nuclear facilities, calling the attacks a clear violation of international law and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
In an official statement issued following the strikes on Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, the AEOI referred to the attacks as a “brutal act” carried out by “the enemies of Islamic Iran,” specifically naming the United States and Israel. It claimed the operation was conducted “under the shadow of indifference” and, alarmingly, “with the cooperation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”
The AEOI criticized President Donald Trump for openly taking responsibility for the strikes on nuclear sites that, it said, are under continuous monitoring by the IAEA in accordance with the NPT and the Safeguards Agreement.
“The international community is expected to condemn this act of lawlessness—governed by the rules of the jungle—and support Iran in defending its legitimate rights,” the statement urged.
Despite the attacks, the AEOI reassured the Iranian public that the country’s nuclear program remains intact and resilient. “With the dedication of thousands of revolutionary and motivated scientists and experts, Iran’s nuclear advancement will not be halted,” it affirmed.
The agency concluded by stating that it has initiated legal measures to defend the rights of the Iranian people on the international stage.
