Afghans will decide who rules Afghanistan: ISPR

Guns could not decide fate of Afghanistan in the past two decades

RAWALPINDI: Director General ISPR Maj-General Babar Iftikhar said that after the withdrawal of the US troops, Afghans will decide who rules Afghanistan. He said: : “Guns had been unable to decide [who rules Kabul] over the past two decades and won’t be able to do so in future.”

It may be noted that the sudden withdrawal of the US and European troops from Afghanistan has led to clashed between Afghan forces and Taliban. On July 9, the Taliban’s spokesman claimed to have control on 85 percent areas in Afghanistan.
