Eighteen Israeli soldiers were wounded, including one seriously, in a Hezbollah drone attack in northern Israel on Sunday, according to the military.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that several drones were launched from Lebanon on Sunday afternoon, triggering sirens in the Galilee Panhandle and northern Golan Heights.
The IDF stated that one explosive-laden drone struck the Merom Golan area, resulting in 18 soldiers being injured. Among them, one soldier was seriously wounded, while the others were listed in good condition.
Hezbollah has increasingly been deploying explosive-laden drones in recent months, along with anti-tank guided missiles and rocket barrages.
The group claimed responsibility for this attack, stating it targeted an Israeli military site in retaliation for IDF strikes against it earlier in the day.
Separately, Hezbollah launched a heavy rocket at the Beit Hillel area, which landed in an open area without causing injuries or damage, according to the IDF.
Earlier on Sunday, the IDF reported that Hezbollah operatives were struck at sites used by the terror group in southern Lebanon.
