At least 10 people lost their lives in a blaze while another 30 suffered burn-injuries at a Cambodian hotel-casino, police said.
The Grand Diamond City casino-hotel is located on Cambodia’s border with Thailand.
Deadly fire broke out at the Grand Diamond City casino-hotel around Wednesday midnight, police said on Thursday.
According to Cambodian police, “about 10 people died and 30 people injured”. About 400 individuals were present at the casino-hotel at the time the fire engulfed the casino.
Video footages on social media showed a huge complex ablaze and people jumped from the multi-storey complex to save their lives amid fire.
Scores of the foreign tourists were present at the casino when blitz engulfed it.
Police and rescue workers have shifted dead bodies and injured to the near hospital. Cambodian police have started a probe to ascertain the cause of blaze which killed 10 people.
The incidents of blaze at casinos are frequently occurring in different countries in the world. It indicates that the casinos are not following the prescribed security measures.
