MURIDKE/ISLAMABAD: Indian missiles targeted a hospital, university, college, and a special mosque in Murdike on Tuesday night.
“Four Indian missiles hit these structures on Tuesday night. The first missile struck up 12:30 post-midnight and the remaining three missiles hit the targets one by one with a gap of five minutes,” eye-witnesses told The Truth International on Wednesday.
We have visited the spot and found debris from four missiles that have damaged an educational institution, a hospital, and a large mosque.
Jamaat-tu-Dawah was running a social welfare network near Muridke, with the aim of providing relief to thousands of needy people.
The place was not being used for militancy and it was just Indian propaganda, eye-witnesses further said.
Jamaat-tu-Dawa has converted this place into a social welfare platform for the people of the area.
The blasts of missiles were so powerful that they shattered the windows and doors of houses in the vicinity of 2 to 3 kilometers of the site of attack, an eye-witnesses said.
It appears that India has targeted this area just to fulfill a formality though the place is being used for the wellbeing of thousands of needy people around Muridke, a sub-urban area near Lahore, the capital city of Punjab.
So far, details are not available about any casualties in this attack and injuries etc.
Earlier,Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, has confirmed that the country successfully shot down six Indian fighter jets in response to India’s missile strikes on multiple locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. The Indian strikes, which targeted what India claimed were terrorist infrastructures connected to a deadly April attack in Pahalgam, have escalated tensions between the two nuclear-armed nations.
In retaliation, Pakistan reported shooting down five Indian Air Force combat jets and a drone. Additionally, Pakistan’s security forces claimed to have destroyed an Indian brigade headquarters and captured an unspecified number of Indian soldiers. The Pakistani military also reported the downing of a Rafale fighter jet near Ahmedpur East in Bahawalpur. India, on the other hand, claimed to have shot down a Pakistani fighter jet in Pampore. The situation remains tense, with both sides accusing each other of unprovoked aggression.
The international community has expressed concern over the escalating conflict. The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres called for military restraint, emphasizing that “the world cannot afford a military confrontation between India and Pakistan.” Similarly, President Donald Trump described the strikes as “a shame” and urged for a swift resolution to prevent further escalation.
As of now, both countries have declared states of emergency in affected regions, suspended commercial flights, and are on high alert. Diplomatic efforts are underway, but the situation remains volatile.
