New Delhi: Long queues around any petrol station are the frequent observations across India. The reason being that the country is left with barely six days of oil reserves enough to take on the demand load, which includes jet fuel needed for aviation industry, fuel for the vast railway network, thermal power generation and above all the daily commuter to the work place. Given the fact that India did not plan as was the case with Pakistani authorities, there are ample chances that the unrest generated due to shortages can degenerate to rioting in major cities.
