ISLAMABAD: Pakistan formally accused India of orchestrating the deadly school bus bombing in Khuzdar, Balochistan, following a high-level visit by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to Quetta, where they met with the injured children and expressed sorrow over the tragic loss of young lives.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti. The delegation visited the hospital where several children remain under critical care.
In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office after the visit, the government held India directly responsible for the attack. “Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will relentlessly pursue those behind this barbaric act. The masterminds, facilitators, and enablers will be held accountable,” the statement read.
It further accused India of presenting itself as a victim of terrorism while actually engaging in acts of terror against Pakistan. “India’s duplicitous role stands exposed before the world,” it added.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed profound grief over the deaths and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured. He reaffirmed the nation’s support for the armed forces and law enforcement agencies and called for national unity and resolve in the fight against terrorism. He condemned those acting as Indian proxies, calling their actions a betrayal of Baloch and Pashtun values.
The Prime Minister also urged the international community to take serious notice of India’s involvement in cross-border terrorism.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir strongly condemned the attack, particularly the targeting of innocent children, calling it “an act of sheer cowardice.” He pledged that those responsible for the Khuzdar bombing would be identified and brought to justice without delay.
