There has been a massive reorganisation at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), as The News reported on Tuesday, with the transfer and posting of 21 IRS senior officers.
Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue has selected Malik Amjad Zubair Tiwana, a BS-21 Inland Revenue Service officer currently serving as the chief commissioner of the Large Taxpayers Office, Islamabad, as the new Member (Inland Revenue Operations).
At the Federal Reserve Bank of Pakistan’s headquarters in Islamabad, Pakistan Customs Service official Abdul Majid Yousfani has been promoted to the rank of Member Operations Information Technology.
On August 22, Tiwana will take over as Member (IR-Operations) following the retirement of current Member Qaiser Iqbal (IRS/BS-21) (IR-Operations).
The officer will serve as a Member of the FBR in Islamabad for the interim time.
Before this notification, if the officer is drawing performance allowance, he will continue to get the same in his new location of posting.
One of Pakistan’s top tax officers, Chaudhry Muhammad Tarique, has been relocated from the Corporate Tax Office in Lahore to work at the Federal Board of Revenue’s headquarters in Islamabad.
Director General (DG) Special Initiatives at FBR Headquarters, Tariq Mustafa Khan of the Inland Revenue Service and a BS-21 official, has been transferred from Karachi’s Chief Commissioner, Regional Tax Office-I. He’ll be based in Karachi, Pakistan.
Aftab Imam (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) has been appointed Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Medium Taxpayer Office, Karachi; and Tauqeer Ahmad Memon has been appointed Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Regional Taxpayer Office-II, Karachi. Sardar Ali Khawaja (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) has been posted as a Member (Public Relations) at FBR Headquarters in Islamabad.
Ambreen Iftikhar (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) has been appointed Director General Directorate of Anti-Benami in Islamabad, and Mir Badshah Khan Wazir (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) has been appointed Chief Commissioner Large Taxpayer Unit in Lahore. Ahmad Shuja Khan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) has been appointed Member Audit and Accounting at the FBR Headquarters
Karachi’s Chief Commissioner Regional Taxpayer Office-1, Hyder Ali Dharejo (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21), and Lahore’s Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Corporate Office Sadia Sadaf Gillani have been appointed.
The Large Taxpayers Office in Islamabad has appointed Muhammad Iqbal (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) as its Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue. The officer would continue to serve as the DG DNFBP Islamabad in addition to his current duties. In addition, he will continue to serve as the FATF Coordinator, as allocated in a December 8, 2021, announcement.
Ardsher Saleem Tariq (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) was assigned to FBR’s Member Reforms and Modernization at FBR Headquarters, and Mohammad Farooq Azam Memon (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) was assigned to head the Hyderabad Regional Office of the Inland Revenue Department as Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue.
Syed Syedain Raza Zaidi (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21), Tehmina Aamer (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) and Imtiaz Ali Solangi (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) have been appointed as the Chief Commissioners of Karachi, Rawalpindi and Sukkur respectively.
