ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Akbar Nasir Khan, has gone on leave. However, there are conflicting reports regarding the duration of his leave, with multiple accounts suggesting different lengths of time.

According to a spokesperson for the Islamabad police, Khan will be on leave for seven days.
However, according to the sources, the leave could potentially extend to one year. Khan departed the country through Islamabad airport, on Friday.
It’s worth noting that Khan has been serving as the Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad since May of the previous year.
His temporary departure from his responsibilities raises questions about the circumstances and implications of his extended absence from his official position.
As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding the duration or reasons for his leave.
