The Islamabad Electric Supply Company has announced scheduled electricity suspensions in several areas due to maintenance and development work.
The planned outages will take place on Saturday across multiple feeder lines and transmission zones.
Officials explained that temporary suspensions help improve system stability and reduce unexpected power breakdowns. Therefore, consumers are advised to plan their activities accordingly.
The company also stated that electricity may return earlier if maintenance work finishes ahead of schedule.
Areas Affected in Rawalpindi City Circle
Power supply in parts of the Rawalpindi City Circle will remain suspended from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The affected locations include areas served by Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Tehmasamabad, Dhok Hukamdad, RIC, and Rahimabad feeders.
Residents and businesses in these neighborhoods may experience temporary inconvenience during the maintenance window. However, officials emphasized that the work aims to enhance long-term service reliability.
Consumers are encouraged to take necessary precautions before the outage begins.

Under the GSO Circle, electricity supply will remain suspended from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The shutdown will affect the 132 kV ChakwalโBhagwalโTalagang and 132 kV Kahuta CityโPalandri transmission lines.
Maintenance teams will conduct technical upgrades and inspection work during this extended period. As a result, supply interruptions may continue throughout the scheduled timeframe.
Authorities noted that such upgrades help prevent technical faults and improve transmission efficiency.
Additional Outage in Wah Bahter More Area
Another scheduled suspension will occur from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on the 132 kV transmission line at New Wah Bahter More.
Adjacent localities connected to this line will also experience power interruptions.
Officials said coordinated maintenance across multiple locations ensures smoother electricity distribution in the future. Meanwhile, technical teams will monitor progress to minimize delays.
Restoration Timeline and Consumer Advisory
IESCO assured consumers that electricity supply will resume immediately after maintenance work concludes. If teams complete tasks early, restoration may occur before the announced timings.
The company apologized for the inconvenience caused by the temporary shutdowns. At the same time, it urged consumers to cooperate during the maintenance process.
Planned outages remain essential for maintaining safe and reliable electricity infrastructure. Consequently, periodic upgrades help reduce unscheduled power failures and improve overall service performance.
Residents are advised to stay updated through official announcements and prepare for temporary disruptions during the scheduled hours.
