In a heartwarming and unusual incident, a 7-year-old boy from the city took a bold step to protect his playtime — by walking into a local police station to file a formal complaint.
Ayaz Siddiqui, a resident of Churi Parah, visited the Sakhi Pir police station with a serious grievance: two women in his neighborhood were allegedly stopping him from playing in the street.
“They don’t let me play outside,” Ayaz told officers, naming the women as Rania and Moni, who he claimed routinely chased him away from the area where he and other children usually gather.
Police took the young complainant seriously and registered the matter. They assured Ayaz that his concern would be addressed.
“We will resolve the issue you’re facing,” an officer responded warmly, commending the child for his courage.
The wholesome incident quickly gained attention, with many praising Ayaz’s determination and the police’s respectful response to a young citizen asserting his right to play.
