Huawei has officially launched the Mate X7 in global markets, expanding the availability of its latest book-style foldable smartphone. The launch comes a month after the device debuted in China. The Huawei Mate X7 brings premium hardware, a large foldable display, and Huawei’s in-house software ecosystem to international users.
The foldable smartphone targets the ultra-premium segment. It combines powerful internals with a refined design and enhanced durability features.
Huawei Mate X7 Price and Availability
The Huawei Mate X7 is priced at EUR 2,099 in Europe. This pricing applies to the single configuration available globally. The variant includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
Huawei offers the Mate X7 in three colour options. Buyers can choose from Black, Brocade White, and Nebula Red. The company has not yet confirmed wider regional rollout details beyond Europe.
For comparison, the Mate X7 launched in China in November. The Chinese pricing started at CNY 12,999. This shows a noticeable price increase for global markets, reflecting taxes and regional costs.
Display, Performance, and Software
The Huawei Mate X7 features an 8-inch OLED inner display. The large screen unfolds to offer a tablet-like experience. The cover display measures 6.49 inches, making it usable when folded.
Both displays are designed for premium visual quality. Huawei has included slim bezels and a refined hinge mechanism. The device also carries IP58 and IP59 ratings. This provides improved protection against dust and water.
At the core, the Mate X7 runs on the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset. Huawei pairs the processor with ample memory and storage. This setup aims to deliver smooth multitasking and strong performance.
The smartphone runs HarmonyOS 6.0 out of the box. The operating system is developed by Huawei. It does not rely on Android, continuing Huawei’s independent software strategy.
Camera System and Battery
Huawei equips the Mate X7 with a versatile camera setup. The phone features three outward-facing cameras for photography. Exact sensor details were not highlighted at launch.
For selfies and video calls, Huawei includes two front-facing cameras. Both the inner display and cover screen house an 8-megapixel camera. This allows users to take selfies in both folded and unfolded modes.
The device packs a 5,525mAh battery. The large battery is designed to support the power demands of a foldable display. Huawei focuses on balancing battery life with a slim foldable form factor.
With its global launch, the Huawei Mate X7 strengthens Huawei’s presence in the premium foldable smartphone market.
