ISLAMABAD: Soon after the announcements of Toyota and Pak-Suzuki, Honda Atlas has also notified reduction in prices of its cars with immediate effect.
In a letter issued to dealers, the company said the new retail prices — reduced by between Rs280,000 to Rs550,000 — would be effective from August 17.

The new prices of City MT 1.2L, CVT 1.2L and CVT 1.5L are Rs3.769 million, Rs3.899m and Rs4.139m, respectively. The City Aspire MT 1.5L and CVT 1.5L are priced at Rs4.299m and Rs4.479m.
Meanwhile, the BRV’s new price is Rs4.939m while Civic models 1.5L M CVT, 1.5L Oriel M CVT and RS 1.5L LL CVT cost Rs6.349m, Rs6.599m and Rs7.549m, respectively.
According to Honda, the new prices are applicable on the current back orders and new orders placed from Aug 17. It added that the prices were subject to change and rates prevailing at the time of delivery would be applicable.
The delivery time committed by the company could be delayed due to the State Bank of Pakistan’s restrictions on letters of credit, it stated.
Earlier, Indus Motors and Pak-Suzuki Motor company have announced reduction in prices of their cars as the value of dollar has declined significantly in the country in recent weeks. On Thursday (Aug 18), dollar-rupee exchange rate stood around 215.50 rupees in the inter-bank, up from 212 rupees two days ago, but down from record high level of 245 rupees in July 2022.
