Twenty Teachers Assigned Under “Allow to Work” Policy
The Sindh College Education Department has deployed 20 teachers to Hyderabad’s historic Kali Mori College. This step aims to restore academic activities at the historic institution after a long hiatus.
Most of the teachers, including associate professors, assistant professors, and lecturers, are currently posted at government colleges in Karachi. Under the “allow to work” policy, they will now begin teaching at historic Kali Mori College.
Officials confirmed that the teachers will continue receiving their salaries from their parent colleges. The college lacks its own sanctioned fund, known as SNE, because of earlier administrative changes.
Kali Mori College received university status nearly ten years ago when it celebrated its 100th anniversary. At that time, the college section was discontinued, and its sanctioned funds were redistributed among other colleges. This year, however, the institution reopened admissions, signaling a revival of its academic legacy.
Historic College Welcomes 800 Students After Resuming Admissions
The director general colleges confirmed that nearly 800 students have been admitted across different faculties for the current academic year. The deployment of teachers ensures that these students will have access to qualified faculty members from day one.
Officials believe this move will help restore the academic environment of the century-old institution. Teachers assigned under the new arrangement will cover a wide range of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning for enrolled students.
Kali Mori College holds deep historical value in Hyderabad’s educational landscape. Established more than a century ago, it served generations of students before administrative restructuring disrupted its teaching operations.
The new deployment reflects Sindh’s commitment to preserving the college’s legacy. Authorities expressed hope that the initiative would strengthen academic standards and encourage students to benefit from the institution’s rich heritage.
