Tomorrow Declared as a School Holiday

School Holiday

LAHORE: Amidst a surge in Pink Eye infections in Punjab, both government and private schools will remain closed tomorrow, following directives from Punjab’s caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

To curb the spread of the eye infection, authorities have instructed teachers to conduct student health checks at school entrances starting from Monday.

The incidence of conjunctivitis, commonly referred to as Pink Eye, has been on the rise in Punjab and other parts of the country.

Over the past 24 hours, Punjab’s Health Department has reported 85 new cases of conjunctivitis.

The decision to close schools is part of a proactive measure to contain the spread of the infection and ensure the well-being of students.

While the closure may disrupt regular educational activities, health authorities are taking these steps to mitigate the health risks associated with the Pink Eye outbreak.

The closure of schools in Punjab due to the Pink Eye outbreak reflects a precautionary approach to safeguard students’ health.

Authorities aim to control the infection’s spread for the well-being of the community.
