In a significant move to uplift the quality of education in Sindh, the provincial government has announced plans to recruit an additional 90,000 teachers. This decision is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the educational framework across the province. So far, 83,000 teachers have already been hired.
The update came during a departmental performance briefing by Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
According to Shah, offer letters are currently being distributed to candidates who successfully passed the IBA assessment. The large-scale hiring initiative has already led to noticeable improvements in the province’s education standards, and the upcoming appointments are expected to further elevate teaching quality in government schools.
The education minister also briefed Bilawal Bhutto on several key initiatives under way, including efforts to modernize educational infrastructure and enhance school facilities.
These reforms are part of a wider agenda to make the education system more efficient, inclusive, and digitally equipped.
