SHCC conducts successful Anti-Quackery Operations on โQuacksโ in Khairpur District
KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: According to the Director-Anti Quackery, Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC), a special task force led by Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) is working in collaboration with District Government Officials to seal illegal clinics in and around Khairpur District.
On March 23, Deputy Commissionerโs office in District Khairpur joined hands with SHCC to conduct consistent Anti-Quackery under section U/S 39-g(h) of the SHCC Regulations 2017. As per law, SHCC has the legal mandate to take action against โquackeryโ across the province.

Over 80 illegal healthcare establishments were identified during spot checks conducted by SHCC & DC office teams, where 35 clinics were sealed on the spot.
โPreventive measures must be takenโ: said Director Anti-Quackery ( SHCC) Syed Zeeshan A Shah.
Strict warnings were issued to 25 healthcare establishments (HCEs) to comply with legal requirements. Moreover, 22 clinics were found to be in compliance with the law under SHCC Act 2013.
Effective actions were taken in 4 sub-divisions in Khairpur District, including Kingri, Thari Mirwah, Sobho Dero, and Khairpur itself.
One of the success factors of this operation was the positive support provided to SHCC by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sharjeel Noor and his team of officers.
To reduce the potential risk of HIV, Dengue, Malaria and other diseases in flood-affected areas, such joint Anti-Quackery efforts will continue against โQuacksโ.
The role of positive media to help SHCC identify illegal establishments is another important factor in the success of Anti-Quackery operations. The success of anti-quackery operations will discourage unlawful practice in this field and protect people from unqualified quacks.
