A list of the top 2% of scientists across all disciplines that have received the most citations was just published by Stanford University. There are about 160,000 people on the list. The list created by Stanford University includes 12 teachers from Pakistan.
Nine of the lecturers are from Punjab University (PU), while three are from Government College University (GCU), Lahore, according to Independent Urdu.
In the category for the international examination of one-year research papers, Punjab University is represented by six researchers. Dr. Hafiz Azhar, Dr. Zeeshan Yousuf, Dr. Mohammad Younis, Dr. Saima Arshad, Dr. Abdur Rehman, and Dr. Noman Raza are the researchers’ names.
According to a spokesperson for Punjab University College, Stanford chose Drs. Khalid Mahmood, Mohammad Sharif, and Mohammad Akram for their extensive research.
The only professor in South Asia to have won a prize in information and library science is Dr. Mahmood. The professors from GCU Lahore who made Stanford’s list are Professor Dr. Mjuahid Abbas, Professor Dr. Zakaullah, and Dr. Abdul Sattar Nizami.
The professors received congratulations from Dr. Asghar Zaidi, vice chancellor of GCU Lahore. He claimed that the professors were ecstatic to be among the top scientists in the world.
The appearance of Pakistani teachers on Stanford University’s list pleased social media users in Pakistan. They praised them for bringing honour to Pakistan on a global scale.
