CSS Exams 2024
The Islamabad High Court recently held a hearing regarding a petition seeking to delay the upcoming CSS 2025 exams until the results of previous exams are declared.
The petitioners are seeking a halt to the new exams, arguing that the results of the ongoing cycle should be finalized before proceeding with the new exams for 2025.
During the hearing, Assistant Attorney General Usman Ghuman informed the court that the Chairman of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) would attend the next hearing and make a decision on the matter within ten days.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, who was presiding over the hearing, emphasized that the issue at hand extended beyond the concerns of a single individual. He urged the FPSC to address the matter comprehensively to ensure that all parties were given fair consideration.
The court directed the petitioners to present their case directly to the FPSC, which is responsible for the conduct of the exams. The FPSC was instructed to resolve the issue within the next week and provide a solution by February 6.
If the matter is not addressed to the satisfaction of the court by this deadline, the court will take further steps and issue an order regarding the situation.
This legal development has sparked significant attention, as it could affect the scheduling and conduct of the CSS 2025 exams, an important step for those looking to pursue civil services careers in Pakistan.
The FPSC’s decision could set a precedent for handling similar issues in future exam cycles, especially concerning delays or disputes over exam results.
The court’s intervention highlights the growing importance of ensuring transparency and fairness in the civil service recruitment process, with the upcoming decision holding considerable weight for candidates and the FPSC alike.
