This esteemed program provides undergraduate and master’s students with the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research under the mentorship of top-tier scientists, engineers, and professionals at KAUST, one of Saudi Arabia’s premier research institutions.

Lasting between 3 to 6 months, the KAUST Visiting Student Research Program (VSRP) promotes collaboration across a wide array of scientific disciplines.

Students from fields such as Bioengineering, Bioscience, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and more are encouraged to apply. Additionally, the program invites applicants from areas like Marine Science, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, and Energy Resources.

KAUST’s 2024 internship will recruit 130 international interns, emphasizing diversity by welcoming students of all races, colors, and ethnicities. The program aims to expand participants’ academic expertise by providing hands-on experience in state-of-the-art laboratories and offering networking opportunities with leaders in their respective fields.

Interns will participate in activities ranging from laboratory and fieldwork to data workshops and international conferences. The program also includes cultural experiences and field trips, enriching the participants’ overall learning journey.

“The KAUST internship offers students the chance to gain invaluable practical experience and collaborate with experts in some of the most advanced scientific facilities in the world,” said a KAUST spokesperson. “We are fully committed to supporting our interns in every way to ensure their success.”

The KAUST International Internship covers all expenses, including airfare, visa fees, accommodation, health insurance, and a living allowance, making it an all-inclusive and highly coveted opportunity for students looking to boost their skills and professional development. Many graduates of the program have gone on to secure additional international career opportunities.
