KARACHI: NED University of Engineering and Technology has launched the Undergraduate Fellowship Program, offering scholarships to all undergraduate students, including 2,900 new admissions.
With an allocation of Rs 23.3 million, this initiative aims to provide financial support to students, ensuring that no one has to abandon their education due to financial constraints.
The fellowship program is named after iconic figures Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar and Ms. Fatima Jinnah.
The program features a tiered scholarship structure, with top performers receiving 100% tuition and examination fee waivers.
Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, benefiting 1,500 Karachi Board students, 300 A-Level students, and others.
Current students will also benefit from this program, with top performers in each program eligible for fellowships after the first semester. Students with a CGPA above 2.0 will receive a 22% tuition fee discount, while those with a lower CGPA will receive a 15% discount.
According to Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sarosh Lodhi, this program sets a new standard in higher education, positioning NED University as a beacon of hope for students in need of financial assistance. The fellowship list will be released alongside the merit list at the time of admission.
This initiative complements the existing Rs 20 crore scholarship program, further solidifying NED University’s commitment to making education accessible to all.
