With Ramadan expected to begin on March 1, schools across the UAE have announced their holiday schedules for February, offering varying lengths of breaks based on individual academic calendars.
The majority of schools will have a full week off from Monday, February 10, to Friday, February 14, providing students and staff with a nine-day holiday when the weekends are factored in.
Some schools will observe a shorter three-day break from Wednesday, February 12, to Friday, February 14, resulting in a five-day holiday when the weekend is included.
A smaller number of schools will have a two-day break on Thursday, February 13, and Friday, February 14, creating a four-day holiday when combined with the weekend. Classes will resume on Monday, February 17, for these schools.
As Ramadan approaches, schools are also preparing for shorter working hours to accommodate those observing the holy month. Educators have assured parents that the curriculum will be adjusted to ensure a manageable workload, allowing students to continue their learning despite the reduced hours.
