On Tuesday, HBO released the highly anticipated trailer for the eight-episode second season of “House of the Dragon,” which is set to premiere on June 19. This upcoming season of the Game of Thrones prequel will delve into the Targaryen civil war, ignited by the death of King Viserys I, portrayed by Paddy Considine.
The series is based on George R.R. Martin’s book “Fire & Blood” and promises to explore the intricate and bloody conflict within the Targaryen dynasty. Fans can look forward to seeing the return of key cast members including Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans.
