This route will support stronger social and economic exchanges. It will also help expand cross-border mobility across the region.
Enhanced Connectivity to Support Regional Access
Chaudhry said the ferry link will strengthen wider regional access to Central Asian markets. The improved connectivity will support trade corridors that run through Pakistan. It also aligns with the national vision of transforming Gwadar into a major gateway. The service will help countries across the region access new opportunities. Additionally, the corridor will improve Pakistan’s strategic role in regional trade. The government aims to promote Gwadar as a leading maritime center. The initiative reinforces long-term plans for regional integration and growth.
