Real Gameplay Surfaces Online After Months of AI Fakes
Gamers around the world, tired of endless AI-generated GTA 6 trailers, finally have something real to talk about. Authentic GTA 6 gameplay clips have surfaced online after an ex-Rockstar Games animator, Benjamin Chue, unknowingly revealed early development footage in his professional demo reel. Chue, who previously worked on major titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Max Payne 3, uploaded the clip to Vimeo two months ago. Although it was quickly deleted, mirrors and reposts spread across Reddit almost instantly, igniting widespread discussion.
The leaked footage only lasted 19 seconds, but fans immediately recognized unmistakable elements of Vice City—the confirmed setting of GTA 6. In the first clip, a male character mounts and dismounts a bicycle with incredibly smooth, natural-looking animations. A visible “Lom Bikes” logo hints at a public bike-sharing system in Vice City, suggesting Rockstar may introduce new non-motorized travel options. Another clip shows a woman jumping off a monster truck. Her movements appear identical to Lucia, the female protagonist featured in official GTA 6 trailers. The animations strongly suggest that players will be able to interact with oversized vehicles and perform detailed movement sequences in the final game.
Rockstar Responds as GTA 6 Delayed Again to 2026
Rockstar Games, known for aggressively safeguarding its projects, has taken action against leaks in the past—including pursuing a hacker in 2022 who released early GTA 6 footage. The company recently fired over 30 employees for sharing confidential content. Although some fans believe Chue may have had permission to showcase the footage, the immediate takedown suggests Rockstar was not pleased.
Meanwhile, Rockstar has officially delayed GTA 6 once again. Originally slated for Fall 2025, the game’s release was first pushed to May 2026. Now, the new confirmed launch date is November 19, 2026. The studio says the development team needs additional months for polishing, optimization, and final stress testing. The company emphasizes that delaying now prevents a buggy or unpolished release later.
Rockstar explained that GTA 6—over a decade in development—is the studio’s most ambitious title yet. Since GTA V’s 2013 launch, the franchise has continued breaking global records, with the first GTA 6 trailer in December 2023 becoming one of the most-viewed game trailers in history. GTA 6 will release first on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with the PC version expected to arrive later.
Fans are split across social media. Some express frustration over continued delays, while others insist that Rockstar’s track record—like the delayed but critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption 2—proves the wait will be worth it.
