ISLAMABAD: The federal Cabinet has approved the appointment of new directors on the Board of Directors of the State Bank of Pakistan.
The cabinet approved the following eminent professionals as Directors of the SBP Board: Dr Ali Cheema, Dr Akbar Zaidi, Tariq Pasha, Najaf Yawar, Fawad Anwar, Nadeem Hussain, Mehfooz Ahmed Khan, Zahid Fakhar ud Din Ebrahim, Secretary, Finance Division and Governor, State Bank of Pakistan.
According to notification, the Finance Division recommended the names of new directors of the SBP board to the Cabinet for approval.
The Board of Directors oversees the key decision and policy making of the State Bank of Pakistan, including announcement of monetary policy.
