The federal government has announced a substantial increase in fuel prices, effective from Monday, June 16, for the next two weeks.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been raised by Rs4.80 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs7.95 per litre.
With the latest revision, the new price of petrol stands at Rs258.43 per litre, up from Rs253.63. The price of high-speed diesel has now been set at Rs262.59 per litre.

The Ministry of Finance officially released the notification detailing the revised petroleum prices. It’s worth noting that just two weeks earlier, on May 31, the government had increased petrol prices by Rs1 per litre.
