Karachi โ Google has significantly increased subscription prices for its Google One plans in Pakistan, with premium AI-integrated packages now reaching as high as Rs. 70,000 per month. The revised pricing structure reflects higher infrastructure and service costs, according to the company.
The updated tiers include both standard cloud storage plans and new AI-focused bundles. Notably, the widely used 100GB Basic plan has nearly doubled in price, rising from Rs. 219 to Rs. 419 per month, while annual billing has also increased proportionally.
New Pricing Tiers Span from Basic Storage to Premium AI Packages
Meanwhile, Google has introduced a broader range of plans, catering to both casual users and high-end customers. Entry-level packages begin at Rs. 189 per month for 30GB storage, while premium storage options extend up to 30TB, costing over Rs. 32,000 monthly.
In addition, AI-integrated subscriptions such as Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra bundle storage with advanced tools, including Gemini AI and productivity automation features. The AI Ultra plan, targeting enterprises and power users, can cost up to Rs. 70,000 per month under standard pricing.
Shift Toward AI-Driven Revenue Strategy
Furthermore, industry analysts note that the pricing overhaul signals a strategic shift toward AI-driven services. By combining cloud storage with artificial intelligence capabilities, Google aims to attract professionals, creators, and businesses seeking advanced digital tools.
At the same time, the move may place pressure on individual users, particularly in price-sensitive markets like Pakistan. However, the company appears focused on expanding its premium user base.
Consequently, the updated pricing highlights Googleโs transition from basic storage offerings to comprehensive AI-powered subscription ecosystems.
