Google brings AI Plus to Pakistan
Google announced on Wednesday the expansion of its Google AI Plus plan to 40 more countries, including Pakistan. The subscription plan was first launched in Indonesia earlier this month, receiving strong positive feedback from early users.

Farhan Qureshi, Country Director of Google Pakistan, said the country’s vibrant digital landscape inspired this rollout. He noted that Pakistanis are adopting AI tools creatively and quickly.
“With the launch of Google AI Plus, we are making these tools even more accessible across Pakistan,” Qureshi explained. He added that this move aligns with Google’s broader mission to fuel Pakistan’s digital transformation and ensure equal opportunities for productivity, creativity, and learning with AI.

The Google AI Plus plan offers multiple advanced features to enhance user experience. These include:

Higher limits for image generation and editing through Nano Banana in the Gemini app

Expanded access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google’s most advanced AI model for handling complex queries

Access to Veo 3 Fast, Google’s latest video generation model, integrated into Gemini, Whisk, and Flow

Seamless Gemini integration across Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and other Google Workspace apps

200 GB of cloud storage across Photos, Drive, and Gmail
Additionally, users can share these benefits with up to five family members, making it a single affordable plan for multiple users.
Pricing and availability: Google Brings AI Plus Plan to Pakistan
Google confirmed that the AI Plus plan is now available in Pakistan at Rs1,400 per month. For a limited time, first-time subscribers will receive a 50% discount for the first six months.
Government interest in AI
In July, Pakistan’s IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja held talks with Google’s Regional AI Developer Ecosystem and Communities team. The discussions focused on advancing AI adoption in Pakistan, with emphasis on AI training in education and workforce development.
