Gold Jumps by Rs1,700 Per Tola After Two-Day Stability
KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp increase on Saturday, following a two-day period of stability. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs1,700, pushing the new rate to Rs390,300.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs1,458, reaching Rs334,619. The rise comes in line with movements in the international gold market, where gold prices also saw an upward trend.
Global and Silver Prices Follow Similar Trend
On the global front, gold prices per ounce increased by $17, bringing the international price to $3,685. This global rally appears to be driving local market sentiments as investors turn to precious metals amid ongoing economic uncertainties.
Silver prices in Pakistan also saw a notable rise. The price of 24-karat silver per tola jumped by Rs114, now standing at Rs4,532. Likewise, 10 grams of 24-karat silver are now priced at Rs3,885, reflecting a parallel trend in both gold and silver markets.
The consistent rise in precious metal prices indicates growing investor demand, often linked to inflation concerns and fluctuations in currency values. Traders and jewellers expect the trend to remain volatile in the coming weeks, depending on international cues and domestic economic developments.
