A break-in was reported while the actress was away
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, two men broke into Torres’s residence in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood on Friday, January 30. Police said they received a burglary call around 7:10 p.m. from the 14000 block of Greenleaf Street, reporting that suspects had entered the home and fled in a vehicle.
Investigators later confirmed that the intruders entered the property shortly after 7 p.m.
Subsequently, authorities told NBC Los Angeles that the suspects stole jewelry valued at more than $200,000 along with approximately $25,000 in cash. A neighbor informed police that Torres, 56, was not at home during the break-in.
Meanwhile, the New York Post reported that the total value of stolen cash and jewelry reached about $225,000. As of now, police have not arrested any suspects and continue to examine leads.
