Tel Aviv โ At least 14 people, including children, were wounded after fragments from Iranian cluster munitions struck central Israel on Wednesday morning, emergency services confirmed. The incident occurred following missile launches that triggered sirens across multiple places.
According to Magen David Adom, an 11-year-old girl from Bnei Brak sustained severe shrapnel injuries and was hospitalized in critical condition. Medical officials later reported that her condition deteriorated after admission. Several other children were among the injured, with hospitals receiving multiple casualties.
Emergency Response Highlights Civilian Impact
Meanwhile, paramedics described chaotic scenes as they treated victims. A responding medic stated that the injured girl received immediate care at home before evacuation. Her siblings also suffered limb injuries from shrapnel.
In addition, a teenage boy and his mother sustained moderate injuries after failing to reach shelter in time. Reports indicated the boy attempted to alert his hearing-impaired mother during the warning. His condition later worsened following hospitalization.
Furthermore, 11 other individuals were treated for minor injuries, while two received on-site medical assistance. Authorities also confirmed structural damage to several buildings.
Follow-Up Missile Launches Trigger Alerts
Shortly afterward, additional sirens sounded across central and northern Israel as Iran launched more missiles. However, no injuries were reported from subsequent attacks.
Officials stated that one missile was successfully intercepted, while another failed to reach Israeli territory. Nevertheless, debris caused further localized damage, particularly in Bnei Brak.
Additionally, Israelโs Fire and Rescue Authority reported multiple impact sites, including one near a US diplomatic facility in Tel Aviv. Authorities continue to assess damage and monitor the security situation.
