Valid Identity Documents Mandatory for Exam Entry
The Federal Public Service Commission has issued important additional guidelines for candidates appearing in the CSS 2026 examinations. The commission has stressed that all candidates must ensure the validity of their National Identity Card or passport before the start of the exams. Any candidate carrying an expired NIC or passport will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
According to the FPSC, the written examinations for CSS 2026 will commence on February 4. All registered candidates have been directed to strictly comply with the newly issued instructions. The commission warned that no relaxation will be given under any circumstances regarding identity verification.
In a public notice, the FPSC clearly stated that expired identity documents will not be accepted. Candidates failing to present a valid NIC or passport at the examination center will be barred from appearing in the paper. The commission advised candidates to renew their documents well in advance to avoid inconvenience on the exam day.
The FPSC emphasized that identity verification is a critical part of the examination process. Officials will conduct strict checks at entry points. Candidates are responsible for ensuring their documents are valid and available at the time of entry.
Reporting Time and Entry Rules Clarified
The commission has also issued clear instructions regarding reporting time. Candidates have been advised to reach their designated examination centers at least 50 minutes before the scheduled start of the paper. This time is required to complete identification checks and other mandatory formalities.
The FPSC made it clear that punctuality is mandatory. Latecomers will not be permitted to enter the examination hall under any circumstances. Even a slight delay may result in disqualification from that paper.
Candidates have been urged to plan their travel accordingly. They should consider traffic conditions and distance from their residence to the examination center. The commission advised candidates to arrive early to avoid unnecessary stress and complications.
Once the examination begins, no candidate will be allowed entry. The FPSC reiterated that these rules are in place to ensure transparency, fairness, and smooth conduct of the CSS examinations.
Ban on Unauthorized Materials and Strict Compliance
The FPSC has also reiterated restrictions on items allowed inside the examination hall. Candidates are strictly prohibited from bringing extra materials. These include stencils, additional papers, notes, books, or any unrelated items.
Only items approved in previously issued instructions will be allowed. Candidates have been advised to carefully review earlier guidelines issued by the commission. Carrying unauthorized material may lead to serious consequences.
The commission warned that any violation of the rules may result in disciplinary action. This may include cancellation of the paper or complete disqualification from the CSS 2026 examination. FPSC officials stressed that ignorance of rules will not be accepted as an excuse.
The FPSC urged candidates to follow both the newly issued instructions and all previous guidelines. The commission emphasized that strict enforcement will be ensured at all examination centers across the country.
Candidates have been advised to remain vigilant, disciplined, and well-prepared. The FPSC stated that adherence to these guidelines will help ensure a fair and transparent examination process for all aspirants.
